The phytosanitary filtration, or the filtering plants

Waste water (other than WC) passes through a purifying system (purge), using march plants :

~ Reeds ( Phragmites communis ) ~
~
Scirpe ( Scirpus lacustris ) ~
~
Yellow Iris of swamps ( Iris pseudo-acourus ) ~
~
Water mint ( Mentha aquatica ) ~
~
Water Lilies ( Nymphaea hybride ) ~

~ Papyrus (Cyperus papyrus)

The terminal tub contains fish and feeds the kitchen garden.

Cleaning the system

Approximately every three years, it is necessary to drain away and to clean the tubs, to divide the plants into halves, to add the volcanic stones and to leave only seven plants per tub, (average recommended for a family of 4/5 people).

Examples of other ponds made with our plants

It is possible to take advice from us, for the realization of your phytosanitary filtration, watery trenches, ponds and natural swimming pools... Here are pictures of a natural pond with our water plants.
